Outreach
Did you know that we can come and visit your school or organisation? We offer bespoke assembly or classroom visits for both key stage 1 and 2.
We all know how music impacts us as individuals, and the role it has had through our lives. There is a growing body of strong evidence in neuroscience and psychology that music plays an essential role in child development. It enhances cognitive functions such as memory, attention, and spatial intelligence. Engaging with rhythm and melodies strengthens neural pathways associated with language development and literacy. Music supports social interactions, helping boost confidence and empathy through collaborative play and creative discovery. And music can provide an emotional outlet through either listening or performing.
We create bespoke sessions tailored to the needs of your school or organisation, but in general our sessions involve:
-
Live music performance with modern band instruments including bass and guitar.
-
Demonstration of different genres of modern music from folk, pop, rock, to metal and beyond.
-
Improvise depending on the direction our audience would like to go.
-
Active engagement with children joining us singing, percussion and movement activities
-
Songwriting/music composition activity
-
Variety of instruments for the children to look at and try! And these can range from hands on percussion, stringed and woodwind instruments.
