CAMM provides high-quality education that engages new musicians of today.
Tuition is led by the musical interests of the students and uses the power of technology to craft immersive learning experiences keeping students hungry for more.
EMPOWERING YOUNG MUSICIANS
Offering an alternative to traditional instrument lessons. Learners are grouped into bands and learn music that peaks their interest. A range of styles and genres are explored in an exciting and engaging way.

It is easy to become uninspired, unmotivated and switched off when learning a new skill feels troublesome, tiresome and hard to access. In a group setting, individuals can amplify their learning and develop social and emotional skills essential for a life filled with opportunity.

The Fleetwood Academy of Modern Music was founded by Francis Ajiteru in 2013 and has been successful in educating new musicians ever since. Francis' focus on innovative technology to enhance and enrich the learning experience for students has led to his consistent delivery of engaging, modern music education for all ages.

In 2021, Meg joined the FAMM team (full time in 2023) and more than doubled the number of students attending each week. The Craven Academy of Modern Music will launch in May 2024 with the first group lessons beginning on June 2nd.

MEGAN ROE - DIRECTOR
Megan Roe is a multi-instrumentalist and qualified teacher dedicated to empowering new musicians and enriching the lives of all through the power of music. Beginning her musical journey as a guitarist aged 7, music has played an important part of her life ever since.
Megan studied at Leeds College of Music and graduated in 2017 with a degree in (BA) Popular Music.

Performing as a guitarist in award-winning trio 'J Frisco' opened her eyes to the transformative power of music, sparking a desire to share this passion with others. This led her to pursue a formal education in music, culminating in a teaching qualification that equipped her with the necessary tools and techniques to engage students effectively.
​
Megan gained Qualified Teacher Status in 2021 and was appointed at Flakefleet Primary school where she led the school and staff band.
​
Megan then took over management of the Fleetwood Academy of Modern Music where she worked closely with FAMM founder, Francis Ajiteru.
​
Megan has since taken on projects with adult bands and children within the home-educated community.
​
All music tutors have an Enhanced DBS check.
